Bath Lifts and Increasing Bathtub Safety

While for seniors the staircase is often the most likely place for a fall to occur, the bathroom can also be very dangerous. There are a number of extremely hard surfaces and when water is introduced, the risk of a fall is greatly increased. Often, using a bath lift is the most common means of allowing a senior to safely take a bath and there are two main types of bath lifts: Plastic Chair Bath Lifts and Inflatable Bath Lifts.

However, bath lifts are not the only means of increasing bathroom safety and walk in bathtubs and patient lifts are also an option.
